Who we are

My name is Janneke Smets, goldsmith and founder of Impona. In our studio, I work together with a small team of passionate makers to design and create unique memorial jewelry by hand.

We combine traditional craftsmanship with personal attention. As a result, every item we create is one of a kind — just like the memory it represents.

Our approach

Together with you, we decide on the best way to preserve your memory. Once the direction is clear, we start crafting the jewelry using durable materials such as silver, gold, and glass.

There are several options for incorporating ashes into the piece:

  • Closed ash chamber – A safe, invisible compartment inside the jewelry to hold the ashes.

  • Ash chamber with screw cap – This gives the option to open or refill the chamber in the future.

  • Ash in resin – The ashes are visible in a transparent or colored resin layer, offering a soft and warm look.

  • Ash fused in glass – Using a traditional glass-blowing technique, we fuse the ashes into molten glass. This results in a sparkling and permanent finish.

Each method has its own symbolism and style. We’ll help you choose the option that best fits your memory and wishes. That way, we create a meaningful piece of jewelry that feels truly yours.
